Suspect Evading Police Wrecks Two Vehicles

Friday, December 4th, 2015 Auto Liability

A man who led police on a chase in Salem, crashed into a pickup and tried carjacking a woman was stopped and arrested Wednesday afternoon, thanks to the help of a good Samaritan. It all started just after 12:30 p.m. when an Oregon State Police trooper tried to stop a speeding Ford Explorer heading north on I-5 near milepost 250. The driver of the Ford began to drive recklessly, according to investigators, so the trooper ended the pursuit. A short time later, police said the Ford pulled off at the Mission Street exit, and crashed into a Toyota pickup.
