
A shooting on state Highway 4 in Concord led to a multiple-vehicle crash that left seven people injured this afternoon, a California Highway Patrol official said. CHP Officer John Fransen said suspects in a Nissan Altima fired at an unknown vehicle on the highway’s westbound lanes near Willow Pass Road at around 3 p.m.The shooting was witnessed by an off-duty BART police officer, Fransen said. The Nissan then took the Port Chicago Highway off-ramp at a high speed and collided with four other vehicles, injuring the Nissan’s three occupants, Fransen said.
